Nanjing SWI

On the 3rd of August we visited the orphanage and I was so happy to see some familar (sp?) faces. I was able to snap quite a few pictures of the Nanjing kids and will post most of them on the Nanjing Kids yahoogroup. Here are some highlights:

Xuanwu Lake

On the 2nd of August we visited the Brocade factory and the Xuanwu Lake. We enjoyed the two-story looms and tour of the Brocade factory . The kids enjoyed the rides at the lake and the adults the scenery. Here's some pictures:

What to say about Grace

She is tiny!
She loves milk and doesn't eat candy!
She loves necklaces!
She is very possessive of her sandals she came with!
She is literally starving and the SWI told me not feed her!
(I'm not listening:)
She likes us very much!
She has temper tantrums but distraction works well.
She is so cute!

Quack, Quack!!!!!!!

Today turned out much better than we expected as the rain dwindled down to a fine mist that covered everything with mystique and the world of fairytales and forbidden love. We visited Tiannemen (sp?) square and The Forbidden city, The Temple of Heaven and two great meals with new foods and music and dance! What a day! Here's some photos! Ahhhhh! Beijing
