This is our paperchase for Grace so far.....

We have had one homestudy visit and have another scheduled for next week.
We have received my birth certificate and are waiting on Brian's and have gotten
a certified copy of our marriage certifiate also. Our financial worksheet is done and
we have filed our I-600 already.

Yesterday we went and applied for Mom and Gwen's passports
We are getting there! More info to come in the future!

Grace

Little one with big brown eyes
a nervous smile and chubby thighs
bright red cheeks chapped by the wind
a shrinking soul hidden within

You captured my heart in November
through a tiny whisper on my chest
as if to say I'm still waiting
and God really knows best

I don't know if our eyes will meet
or my hands will hold your little feet
It may be with someone else that your future lies
but always remember I Loved you first

I wrote this poem after a dream I had in November.
At the time my husband was not on board with the adoption
and didn't know if he would ever be.
I should've known God would provide!

The Beginning

This is the beginning of our Quest for Grace. It is a journey that will lead through mounds of paperwork and connect the East and West in a very elemental way. We will have to jump through hoops, survive sleepless nights and hold a little three-year old in our dreams for many months until we hold her in our arms. Thanks for joining us on this adventure to adopt our youngest daughter from China.
